This appeal is on behalf of the children of CROSSLAND KARATE, INC. BLACK BELT SCHOOL. We are an award winning 501(c) 3 with the mission to serve disadvantages and at-risk youth by offering them physical, educational and cultural programs. Crossland Karate is in need of You, our community partner and leader to help send its dedicated students to the U.S.A MARTIAL ARTS ALUMNI -"HALL OF FAME" 2008 TOURNAMENT & BANQUET in Orlando Florida. This event will take place from Friday, July 18 through Sunday, July 20, 2008.

We are sure you know how martial arts make a positive impact in the discipline, self esteem and confidence of a child while building the mind and body. It's events like this that promotes unity and acceptance amongst people from all walks of life. Divisions for all ages are open for competition and our students get to fellowship and compete with others from around the world. This once in a lifetime opportunity brings them face to face with those from different backgrounds and cultures, emphasizing that each should be socially responsible to their community.

Support has already been received assisting with purchase of uniforms, warm up suits and transportation. Yet, we have just a little ways to go. With your participation as a $100.00 - $1000.00 or more sponsors, you will greatly assist our school with efforts of helping a student and upcoming role model reach their goal of competing. 1st through 3rd place winners automatically qualify for the U.S. NATIONAL TEAM and tournament in Cancun Mexico, in March 2009.
